Parent Questions

Q. How much travel is involved for Real Laguna FC Teams?

A. Real Laguna FC Teams will be playing the Coast Soccer League Bronze Circuit in 2010-2011 season. Most likely these teams will play in the Bronze South Circuit which is comprised of club teams that are in the South Orange County. We do not anticipate the travel levels to be more than the Signature travel during the regular season. There is one event which requires travel to Cal South State Cup. State Cup is typically played in San Bernardino and/or Palmdale. This is for one or two weekends.

Q. How long is the Club Season?

A. The club season is comprised of three parts as follows:

  • Pre-season – July/August through September
  • Season – September through December
  • Post-season – January through May

For more information on the club program view this information. Note that unlike the recreational or signature seasons, the club season covers Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Q. What are the fees?

A. Fees are different for different age groups. In addition fees are different for volunteer run teams vs professionally coached teams. Fees for professionally coached teams are:

  • U9-U11 – $1,350
  • U12 and Older – $1,788

The fees cover all expenses including referees, uniform, and State Cup tournament. Volunteer run teams have a different fee structure.

Who are the coaches?

A. The professional club coaches and their resumes can be found from this link.

Q. Can my son/daughter play multiple sports while playing club soccer?

A. US Youth Soccer recommends soccer players to participate in multiple sports for developmental purposes. The key is to make sure that the sports do not have conflicting seasons. The key periods for the club teams are the Season (eptember through December) and the State Cup (February/March). Players should be ready to commit their time to their teams during these periods.

Q. There are so many clubs around here. Why was Real Laguna FC created?
